Akita Puppies for Sale in NJ: Breeders List (2022)

The Akita is not a dog for everyone. Stubborn, courageous, loyal, and faithful, this breed can be difficult to handle. However, in the right hands, they can be great dogs.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to handle this bear of a dog, then the next step is finding a reputable breeder to buy a puppy from.

Final words

Finding the perfect breeder to buy your Akita puppy from is not easy, but hopefully, this overview made your search a little bit smoother.

Unfortunately, there are simply not that many Akita breeders active in New Jersey. However, what many people do is buy their puppy from out of state. It is definitely worth taking a trip to pick up your puppy if you find that the perfect breeder is located a bit further away.

There are some great Akita breeders located in New York and Pennsylvania that are also worth checking out!

ThePetFaq recommends adoption from a rescue center over buying from a breeder. However, we also understand that adopting is not always possible and that there are many good reasons for choosing to buy from a breeder. Please note that we did not visit these breeders in person, however, we did research them to find as much information about them as possible. Always do your own research when buying a puppy!
