5 Samoyed Puppy Breeders in Colorado
1. Braveheart Samoyeds
|Location||Castle Rock, CO|
|Phone number||(303) 519-2813|
In Castle Rock, which is located near Denver, you’ll find Mary Lee Lloyd, a Samoyed breeder who operates Braveheart Samoyeds.
Mary Lee has been breeding these beautiful dogs for many years and has produced many healthy and happy litters.
You can find the pedigrees of her dogs on her website, and Braveheart is listed on the SCA website as well, which means that you can be relatively confident that they’re a reputable breeder.
Their website shows many pictures of their wonderful dogs and it also showcases that Mary Lee clearly takes a lot of pride in her dogs because they’ve won many awards in the show ring.
2. Northmoor Samoyeds
|Phone number||(303) 908-0831|
Located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, In Elizabeth, Northmoor Samoyeds is a joint operation of a mother and daughter team consisting of Kathleen and Lisa.
They have been breeding Samoyeds since 1983, giving them plenty of experience. They raise their dogs as show, sledding, and companion animals. Lisa and Kathleen actively participate in AKC conformation showing as well and their dogs have won a variety of awards and distinctions.
They operate a small kennel consisting of only a few males and females. In total, there are 5 males and 4 females in their breeding program, pictures of all of which are available on their website.
Since they are a small kennel, they can give every puppy and dog the attention it needs and deserves. However, this does mean that they do not have puppies available very frequently.
3. T-Snow Star Samoyeds
T-Snow Star (pronounced Tee Bar Snow Star) is a Samoyed Breeder in Colorado that’s operated by Mary Jo E. Willdigg and Lindsey Ragsdale. Their story began in 1976 when they acquired their foundation dog Tushina.
Since then, they have bred and shown many dogs with great success.
They’re a small kennel though and do not have puppies often. When they do have them, demand is often high, so you’ll most likely have to spend some time on a waitlist before you’ll be eligible to adopt one of their Samoyed puppies.
They have a decent number of dogs in their breeding program and offer a lot of transparency on their website. Pedigrees and health check numbers are all publicly available, which is a great sign of a reputable breeder.
4. White Gem Samoyeds
White Gem is a Samoyed breeder from Nunn, CO, which is a small town northeast of Fort Collins.
They’re a small-time breeder that strives to produce healthy Samoyed puppies with great temperaments.
They have one male and one girl in their breeding program, so they do not have puppies available very often.
When you buy a pup from this breeder it comes with deworming, a health check by a licensed veterinarian, and its first shots.
To contact them, you’ll have to use the contact form on their website because they do not have an email address or phone number publicly listed.
5. Mountain Sky Samoyeds
Mountain Sky is a breeder of Samoyed puppies in Colorado. It’s operated by Robyn & Tim Buschar.
Unfortunately, their website has only just come online and does not have any information about them yet. They also do not have much of an online presence elsewhere, so there’s not much information to be found about them yet.
However, they are listed on the SCA website, which means that they’re in good standing with the Samoyed Club of America and worth contacting to learn more about them.
Hopefully, this list of Samoyed breeders in Colorado makes it a bit easier for you to find a good breeder that will sell you a puppy.
If you did not find the perfect breeder on this list, do not worry. It’s not uncommon for people who are looking to buy a purebred dog to go out of state to get their perfect puppy. There are some excellent Samoyed breeders in Texas, Arizona, and California that you might want to check out as well.
Carefully selecting a breeder is something that might be time-consuming, but it’s definitely worth the time investment. After all, you’ll hopefully spend over a decade with the dog, so you’ll want to be sure that it’s healthy, social, and with a good foundation when you buy one!
ThePetFaq recommends adoption from a rescue center over buying from a breeder. However, we also understand that adopting is not always possible and that there are many good reasons for choosing to buy from a breeder. Please note that we did not visit these breeders in person, however, we did research them to find as much information about them as possible. Always do your own research as well before buying a puppy!
