The sweet Samoyed is one of the most beloved dogs in the country. Their furry appearance and characteristic smile make them incredibly adorable. Deciding that you want a Samoyed is an easy decision to make. However, the next logical step is finding a breeder near you, something that often proves to be more difficult.

9 Samoyed Puppy Breeders in Ohio
1. Snowbright Samoyeds
Operated by a mother and daughter team, Snowbright is a Samoyed breeder that’s located in Columbus, Ohio. They’ve been breeding and showing these wonderful dogs for many years and use the best bloodlines to create high-quality Samoyed puppies for the Ohio market.
They typically have a few litters every year. Since they do not mass-produce puppies and demand is high, they have a waitlist of about 12 to 18 months, so it’s recommended to sign up early if you’re considering getting a puppy from this breeder.
Their Samoyed pups are born in their home where they live as part of the family. They receive lots of socialization with animals as well as humans to ensure that they’re well-adjusted when they move to their forever home.
To ensure that the pups are healthy, the parents are screened for hereditary and genetic diseases.
In their many years of breeding, Snowbright has had many customers that were extremely satisfied with the puppy they received, pictures of which you can see under the #snowbrightsamoyeds hashtag on Instagram.

|Name||Northern White Samoyeds|

Located in Cleveland, OH, you’ll find Northern White Samoyeds, a breeder that’s been in the game for many years.
They breed AKC-purebred Samoyed puppies that they raise in their family home until they’re 8 weeks old and ready to be adopted. Their home has a large fenced-in yard, where the puppies can play with each other as well as the breeder’s grandchildren.
At 8 weeks of age, when they’re ready to go to their new home, the puppies will have been vet checked, dewormed, and up-to-date on their shots.
3. Hobby Horse Farm
|Name||Hobby Horse Farm|
Hobby Horse Farm is a Samoyed breeder located in Wooster, Ohio. They’ve been breeding Samoyed puppies for many years on their horse farm.
They’ve owned and loved the breed since the 80s and had their first litter in 1988, so they have plenty of experience with them. They have many lovely pictures of their beautiful dogs on their website.
I couldn’t find any experience reports of this breeder, but if you contact them they might be able to provide you with references.
4. Echo Samoyeds
|Phone number||(614) 946-5054|
Echo is a breeder of Samoyed puppies located in the Northeast of Ohio. They’ve been breeding these wonderful dogs for over 25 years, producing over 60 champions and grand champions, and many beautiful pets.
They raise their puppies in their home, which they share with their 3 children, and their Siberian cats. As a result, their Samoyed puppies are very well socialized when they’re ready to go to their new home.
Their website has not been updated very recently, but they post on their Facebook page very frequently with pictures and updates.
They have a total of 8 reviews on their Facebook page with an average rating of 5/5 stars.
5. Arctic Fox Samoyeds
|Phone number||(330) 832-2311|
Arctic Fox is a Samoyed breeder located in Ohio. Not much is publicly known about them other than that it’s run by Diane Garcia, but people on Reddit do recommend them.
6. Snowbaer Samoyeds
Snowbaer is operated by Coleen Baer. They do not have a website, or much other information available about them but it’s worth sending them an email or placing a call to ask for more details.
7. Viking winds Samoyeds
Viking Wind is operated by Sharon & John Carlson. It does not have much publicly available information. They used to have a website, but it’s no longer online.
8. Chatanika Samoyeds
Chatanika is a small breeder that occasionally has litters of Samoyed puppies available. Unfortunately, they are not accepting new applications at this moment, but that might change in the future.
Goldstar is a breeder listed on the Samoyed Club of America website. Unfortunately, they do not have much of an online presence so there is not much information available about them.
ThePetFaq recommends adoption over buying from a breeder. There’s a great Samoyed Rescue in Ohio called Buckeye that I recommend checking out. However, we also understand that adopting is not always possible and that there are many good reasons for choosing to buy from a breeder. Please note that we did not visit these breeders in person, however, we did research them to find as much information about them as possible. Always do your own research when buying a puppy!
If you were unable to find a suitable breeder i’ts sometimes worth it to visit a breeder in a nearby state. Try checking out the best Samoyed breeders in Pennsylvania!
